YMAS is based in Bossal, near York. It was founded in 1936 and currently has around 50 members. We are registered with the British Model Flying Association and our club number is 290. We cater for Fixed wing, Silent flight, Electric flight and Helicopters.
Members meet on varying days of the week. Saturday and Sunday are most common but some do like Tuesday afternoons...Nice and quiet.
People of all flying skills are welcome and the club runs and competes in many competitions and club meets throughout the year.
Members are always happy to help newcomers and we have a number of examiners so you can get your certificates. If you don't know how to set up a plane/glider then members can help.
